About Us
Michael McDowell
Michael McDowell is owner of several small companies, which is comprised of a construction company, real estate firm, and a home inspection company. Michael is a past President of the Home Builders Association of Western Massachusetts, he is the current President of the Massachusetts State Home Builders Association, and was appointed to the first Massachusetts State Board of Home Inspectors where he still currently serves.
Michael holds numerous licenses and certifications; Certified Building Official by ICC, licensed Construction Supervisor, licensed Mason, Registered Home Improvement Contractor, certified Pesticide Applicator, licensed Home Inspector in Massachusetts and Connecticut, Massachusetts Certified Title 5 Septic System Inspector and Real Estate Broker.
Michael and his wife, Jo Ann have been married for over 30 years and they are the proud parents of son, Sean and daughter, Megan, and overjoyed by their two grandchildren, Mya and Max.
Megan Harrigan
Megan became immersed in the real estate occupation because of her father, Michael McDowell, the Broker of Total Real Estate, a builder and a home inspector. While in college Megan decided to obtain her Real Estate License in order to help out friends, family and even herself with the purchase of her first home. Now years later she is showing properties, negotiating on buyers' behalf, and helping clients become proud homeowners.
Megan has a diverse background, which includes being an EMT, Office Manager in a construction company and Event Planning with degrees in Psychology and Biology. Her degree in Psychology has been very useful in her many endeavors. She is currently working towards her Construction Supervisor License. Megan is extremely organized, detail oriented, confident, hard working, and independent. She enjoys the process involved with buying a house and is willing to go the extra mile for a client.
Megan is happily married, mother of one, and is currently making her new house a home. She loves to challenge herself, try new things, spend time with family and friends, travel, scrapbook and dabble in event planning.
Jennifer Kellogg
Jennifer Kellogg is a licensed Massachusetts Real Estate Salesperson for Total Real Estate. Before joining the Total Real Estate team, Jennifer was a client. She purchased her first home with Broker Michael McDowell. Her wonderful experience led her to become interested in helping others through the home buying process.
Prior to working in real estate, Jennifer taught elementary school. She has also lived in Western Massachusetts for the past 20 years. These experiences have taught her organization, time-management and given her knowledge of the area which are valuable skills for working as an exclusive buyer agent.
Jennifer is a wife and mother of one little girl and she currently lives in Wilbraham. She loves traveling and spending time with friends and family.
